The Q-Clear Laser System has had FDA-approval for general surgery and dermatology since 2003 and has been shown to be safe and effective in treating multiple indications. In late 2011, however, the Q-Clear received FDA-approval for its most exciting and dramatic breakthrough yet: the clearance of nails infected by onychomycosis, or nail fungus.
A 12-month randomized clinical study was conducted following subjects of both genders and multiple ethnicities. The Q-Clear Laser System has proven to be substantially effective in the clearance of dystrophic nails having a clinically apparent diagnosis of onychomycosis.
